If you suffer from an allergy that bothers you frequently and/or the cause of it is unknown, your doctor may decide to send you for allergy testing. First he will perform a physical exam himself and if he is still not satisfied that he understands the root of the problem he might book an appointment for you to visit an allergist, who is a doctor who specializes in both asthma and allergies.

If you have allergies that you often get troubled by and/or the cause, which is
unknown, your doctor may decide to send you for an allergy test. First of
all, he will implement his medical examination, if he is not satisfied
that he understood the root of the problem, he may make another appointment, as you
visit an allergy doctor who excels in both asthma and
allergies.

The first part of allergy tests, including
doctors knowing what symptoms you have and the evaluation of these symptoms.
The doctor will ask you a series of questions, which will help him rule out a
similar state of health, but also more closely against the type of problem you
may be suffering from allergies.

Example, the question you may be asked to include:
-- What kind of symptoms that you experience »
-- How long have you had these symptoms? »
-- When the onset of symptoms occurs, what do you do? How long to they last? »
-- Your symptoms are related to the season? »
-- Do you smoke? »
-- Do you have a pet in your home? »
-- Your symptoms worsen when you are indoors or outdoors »

Doctors will give you a complete physical examination and, in
particular, will focus on your skin, eyes, ears, nose and throat.
Doctors will carefully study any swelling, redness, drainage or other
allergic symptoms.

If your doctor is still not clear, this
part of the allergy test, he may send you for a blood test or skin test.
There are also other types of allergy tests, such as food allergy test.
If it is determined you have a food allergy, then you may need your
doctor to keep food diaries and mark down everything you eat and drink
on a daily basis. You may also request specific limit or completely
remove the food from your diet in order to more accurately determine
what your allergy is.
